...5 centimeters per second

Do you know
The speed at which cherry blossoms fall?

At what speed must I live
To be able to see you again?

i. karee bento!
Seeing all the curry bentos the last week or so had me craving badly, so off I went to the super to grab some porkloin and potatoes for curry! The top tier has pork curry made from S & B #5 (Spices & herB according to their website :P), with a little butterfly carrot garnish. The curry doesn’t look that attractive, but fact is, I like it with lots of sauce to slather all over my rice.

Karee Bento

The bottom tier has steamed plain rice that’s prettified with a flower scene. The cut-outs are made from carrots, potatoes and nori.

And because I’m itching to use my new Miffy bento box, I decided to pack a little treats bento. )

ii. animeme

Swiped from [info]kristiann.

Go through the list and check off the titles you have watched. For our purposes, "watching" a title means that for TV and OVA series, you have to have seen at least one episode. For one-shots, you have to have seen the whole thing. At the end of each genre/category, add up your sub-total. At the very end, add up the sub-totals to come up with your grand total. If your grand total is 80 or over, congratulations -- you are an obsessive anime watcher!

Cut for length )

My total? 81/260. Obsessive supposedly but the truth is, if I were truly obsessive, I’d have scored more since I have so many of these titles on video yet untouched. Manga on the other hand, if there were a manga version, I’d score really high probably. As it is, I’ve already read a lot of the stuff on this list.

iii. bentobsessing
Considering my recent slew of bento posts, you’d see how much I’ve been obsessing over bento. But the fact is, it’s making me happy so I guess it’s all right. The scary part though, is as with most obsession, it’s sending me to the poorhouse. In the past two weeks, I’ve bought 3 bentos, and a whole lot of accessories. Now it would be fine if I were spending my money but noooo. I’m charging everything. On a credit card. Can anyone say, "disaster"?

But you have to admit, my baon’s pretty.

iv. yet to post summer roadtrip pics
Baguio and Pagudpod has come and gone and I’ve yet to post pics. Sigh. And I think it’s a bit too late to post recaps, so let me sum it up. I loved Baguio. I loved Pagudpod.

v. mother’s day special!
Updated yesterday, but it’s not too late to pimp is it? The Bishounen Project Mother’s Day special is up. Go fangirls, clicky clicky!

grimace
I'm back in civilization, happily typing away on Tsukiko (remember I renamed my PC?), eschewing sleep in favor of happily netwhoring. Hell, I've been asleep for 80% of the trip from Pagudpod to Makati, I think I can afford to skip one night.

The Pagudpod company outing was fun. Loads tiring, especially the travel, but fun. Lots of camwhoring (in high-res!) but none are in my camera. Why bother taking pics when everyone's wielding high powered digital SLRs?

Oh yeah, and I think my alcohol tolerance level has gone up. Sure, I still get tipsy easily, but despite trying to get myself dead drunk the second night so I could...uhm, get to skip certain activities (fine I didn't want to go strip in the ice cold sea water), the most I got was really tipsy. I was hoping for throwing up drunk with matching hugging the toilet scene but alas, was still good to go when time for said certain activities came. Oh well.

Will post a few pics later today. Have lots to do:

1. open multiply account
2. download pics from camera
3. upload pics to multiply
4. write more detailed LJ entries
5. update bishounen project
6. WATCH OURAN HOST CLUB 6 Done. Nyahahahahahahahaha! I lurf you Tamaki-sama!

Of course, I don't think I need to mention that the said things to do aren't in order of priority, do I?

i. net whoring
So happy to get DSL back at home. While there's always internet at work, my home connection is my lifeblood. Honestly, I feel like my life is at a standstill when I don't have a home connection. When I came back from my weekend trip, my cousin-in-law jokingly said, "Isn't your phoneline down?" The speed with which I replied, "No, really?" was so fast, everyone was laughing in the car. I guess the whole clan knows I'm a netaholic. Too bad his joke came true the next day.

Kudos to Globe Telecom for fixing our home landline in 2 days time. And for having my net connection back up with it. Now if only they'd give me the usual refund for the downtime *crosses fingers*.

ii. baguiyow
We went to Baguiyow for the weekend, hence the lack of bishounen project updates. Wheeee! Funfun. We had two condos, our home-base, and the creepy other condo. Fun trip, tiring, but fun. Piccies would've been up earlier if only my net connection wasn't down. Will try to upload later, or maybe next week after I get back from our company outing, since we're leaving directly after work tomorrow.

Is it a good idea to finally set-up a multiply account?

iii. company outing a.k.a. i actually went and bought a bikini
When the initial planning stages of our company outing were underway, everyone was in high spirits hoping for an overseas jaunt. Eventually, the excitement died down and was replaced with downcast spirits when rumors about going way way closer (think Laguna / Tagaytay) started spreading. Start of May however, we were all gathered for the final plans. We're going to Pagudpod! In Ilocos! Tomorrow! Yippee!!!

How kewl is that? That's probably the northernmost I'll ever get of the country, since Babuyan Island isn't one of my planned destinations. (But Batanes sounds interesting though.) So tomorrow night, after work, let me leave you guys with a few warm farewells, and see you next weeks, as I embark on a journey to the open sea. So excited, it's not everyday that you get to travel to a place where, if you get careless, you'll get a free trip to Taiwan. Albeit bloated and blue.
