haven't heard from me?

i. net deprived
I never knew how net dependent I was until my net connection went all wonky. I've been without my home internet connection since around 3am, Tuesday. I know exactly since I was chatting with Chris at that time. Part of me was managing to cope since I do have a net connection at work so I was able to keep up with my blogs, communities, forums and what-not there. But a whole weekend without the net...

Excuse me as I weep.

I have never been this unproductive during a weekend when I needed to accomplish a lot. I'm behind on my blogging, my dollie stuff, my photo stuff, and even on my procrastinating! How's that for unproductive? I couldn't even procrastinate.

And the sad part is, I couldn't even manage to nag / scream / berate the tech support people on the phone as even before I open my mouth, they're already profusely apologizing about how long it's taking to fix my line. They're even quick to give me updates about the repair status when I ask. How can you scream at someone who's profusely apologizing? That would just make me a bitch, especially since I know what it's like to be on the receiving end of a customer service call.

Santa, I've been good. Well, marginally, can I plz has my intarnetz now?

ii. on the dollie front
I've been having fun switching my dollie's wigs around. They look so different yet so nice. Sadly, due to the non-procrastination, I wasn't able to shoot my dollie's holiday pics yet so I haven't been able to make my holiday postcards. So sorry people who're expecting cards from me, it looks like I'll be sending out New Year's instead of Christmas cards. *facepalm* Well, at least that'll give people something to look forward to in the new year.

iii. on the gift front
Due to a hole in my finances this year (also called dollie spending), looks like only my godchildren will be receiving gifts this year. I know, I know. It sounds extremely pathetic that one of my nephews will be receiving a $5 gift because Auntie spent $126 on one of her dollies. I would like to think that I am an extremely savvy shopper---that $5 book I got him really is pretty nifty and I bet he'd like it---but whenever I compare the monetary value, it really looks pathetic. ^_^;;
